Prop 50 temporarily empowers the California legislature to redraw maps for 2026-2030, ensuring fair representation, protecting voting rights, and giving California a stronger voice in Congress. 

This critical measure is a direct response to MAGA Republicans in Texas and other states who are gerrymandering congressional maps to lock Democrats out of power.
