DEMCCO in the Community

DEMCCO has a long history of reaching out in our communities to inform voters about our candidates and issues.  In the past, many members have stepped up to participate in outreach activities. They find it’s a worthwhile use of their time and enjoy the comradery with fellow Democrats.

The 2022 election is very challenging.  As a midterm election, Republicans are  favored to win. The turnout of voters actually voting is showing signs that it will be very low.  Low turnout elections favor Republicans.  Finally, redistricting last year has resulted in some districts having more registered Republicans than they had before redistricting.

Democrats are resilient! If we pull together and meet voters face-to-face, we can win. Research shows that face-to-face/one-on-one interactions with voters is the best way to gain votes for our candidates — you only have to recall the success of a relatively unknown, black presidential candidate, Barack Obama, who won 2 elections for the highest office of the land by meeting with individual voters at their kitchen table, etc. to discuss issues important to them.

The goal of DEMCCO’s voter outreach is to have those face-to-face conversations.  If you aren’t sure you want to help, think about 2016 and how devastating it was that a corrupt tyrant, Donald Trump, became the winner of the presidential election.

Please sign up for one or more of the following activities, your participation is critical to the success of our Democratic candidates!
